How do I tag drills and station layouts?

Use Station Tags while you build, so your content saves into the right station folders automatically.

Tag a Station Drill (single station)

Use these tags when saving a single drill:

  • Stations: 1 for a true single-station drill (Drills page only)

  • Optional: Add Stations: 2 to 6 if that drill is most commonly used inside a specific station format (example: you typically run it in a Stations: 4 rotation)

  • Also tag skills: skating, puck control, passing, shooting, checking, etc. This makes search and reuse much faster.

Create and tag a Station-Based Plan (multi-station layout)

A Station-Based Plan is your full station layout on one ice surface, usually 2 to 6 stations.

Steps:

  1. Open the station drills you want to use in separate browser tabs.

  2. Copy each drill and paste it into the same ice surface layout.

  3. Arrange the drills into stations (2 through 6).

  4. Save the full layout as your Station-Based Plan.

  5. Tag it with:

    • Station-Based Plans

    • Stations: 2 to Stations: 6 (match the number of stations running)

Copy and paste shortcuts

  • Mac: Copy = ⌘ + C, Paste = ⌘ + V, switch tabs = ⌘ + Tab

  • Windows: Copy = Ctrl + C, Paste = Ctrl + V, switch tabs = Alt + Tab
Tip: You can also right-click and choose Copy or Paste.

Tag your full Practice Plan (Plans page)

Your Practice Plan is where you pull everything together.

  • Add: one or more Station-Based Plans into your practice

  • Tag: the practice with the station count you ran most of the day (example: Stations: 3) plus your skill focus tags
